The Davao City Youth Development Office (DCYDO), through the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation, continues its Rampa Program, visiting SK officials across 182 barangays in Davao City.
Emmanuel Crismas, Operations Head of the DCYDO, told the City Information Office on Monday that the Rampa Program was established to ensure that the concerns and needs of the SK officials are heard and addressed.
The DCYDO is a division of the City Social Welfare and Development Office.
He said as part of the visits, they ask key questions during their interaction with SK officials. These questions include the current status of SK Councils and members, the nature of their relationship with both the barangay and the local council, and the technical support they require to enhance their leadership and administrative capabilities within their respective barangays.
He also said that the program serves as an avenue to bridge communication gaps, providing SK officials with the opportunity to express their concerns as many of them face challenges such as balancing academic responsibilities with their leadership roles.
Since February 17, the program has successfully covered 160 out of the 182 barangays in the city, with visits in Paquibato District, Buhangin, Tugbok, Baguio, and Poblacion District. The remaining visits are scheduled for barangays in Marilog District.
“This will be our pledge and commitment that every start of the year, during the first quarter, the DCYDO and SK Federation will go to every barangay” he said. CIO
