The Educational Benefit System Unit (EBSU) has reported a remarkable surge in the number of applicants, with more than 3,000 individuals creating accounts on its online scholarship portal on the first three days of application.

EBSU Technical Assistant Emilio Domingo Jr., in an interview with the Madayaw Program over city-owned Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR), said that the record number of account creations is a clear indicator of the program’s reach and relevance.

He added that they were considering extending the official application.

Domingo said that the EBSU scholarship program caters to a wide range of courses approved for the current school year. Among these are priority tracks in Teacher Education; Information Technology including Computer Science, Information Technology, and Information System; Health Profession Education such as Nursing, Midwifery, and Pharmacy; and Social Sciences such as Community Development, Social Work, and Psychology.
