The Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT) is all set for the anticipated surge of passengers during the Holy Week.

DCOTT Manager Aisa Usop, in an interview with the City Information Office on Tuesday, said they beefed up terminal security in anticipation of passenger influx during the Holy Week in coordination with the Task Force Davao, Davao City Police Office, and the Davao City Public Safety and Security Office.

She said the DCOTT have 32 CCTV cameras that are closely monitored by their personnel and by the PSSCO as well as an in-house K9 unit.

Earlier this year, the City Government of Davao turned over two units of baggage x-ray machines to the DCOTT.

These machines are installed at the entrance of the terminal. Passengers are urged to immediately pass through the walk-through machine upon putting their baggage in the x-ray machine to prevent incidents of lost baggage.

Usop also urged the passengers to abide by the policies and guidelines implemented in the terminal.

“Muhangyo lang gyud ko sa atoang mga pasahero nga gusto mubyahe, please follow the policies and guidelines nga atoang gina-impliment diri sa atoang DCOTT (I am urging our passengers to follow the policies and guidelines being implemented in our DCOTT),” she said. CIO
