After the successful celebration of Araw ng Dabaw, the Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO) is preparing its security measures to ensure a safe and peaceful observance of Holy Week in Davao City.
PSSO head Angel Sumagaysay, in an interview with the Madayaw Program over city-owned Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR), said preparations are underway, including a safety and security planning meeting with the city’s security cluster and officers of the Archdiocese on April 7.
He said that while major churches in the city will be closely monitored, security plans will also extend to smaller churches and communities, particularly in remote areas like Calinan and Marilog. These measures are vital to ensure the safe observance of Holy Week across the city.
Authorities also asked residents and visitors to cooperate with security personnel and practice vigilance during the Holy Week. CIO
