The City Government of Davao has once again been recognized for its exemplary public service, bagging three prestigious honors at the Panata ko sa Bayan Awards: the Gawad Serbisyong Mahusay, Gawad Serbisyong Matapat, and Most Supportive Radio Station.

The Panata Ko sa Bayan Awards is a distinguished recognition program that honors local governments, organizations, and individuals who demonstrated outstanding service and dedication to public service.

During the awarding ceremony, held on Thursday at the Apo View Hotel in conjunction with the 74th Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Anniversary, the (DCDR) 87.5 FM of the City Information Office (CIO) and the City Social Welfare and Development Office were among the honorees.

Representatives Julie Dayaday, Rosevic Joey Jayme of the OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) Family Welfare and Crisis Center, and James Galay received the awards on behalf of their respective offices.

In a statement posted on its Official Facebook Page, the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) expressed pride in receiving the Gawad Serbisyong Matapat, describing it as a testament to the faithful and dedicated service of the office to the Dabawenyos. It also received the Gawad Serbisyong Mahusay, further showcasing the city’s dedication to addressing the needs of its constituents.

Meanwhile, the Davao City Disaster Radio extended its gratitude to DSWD Region XI for acknowledging its role as a media partner in promoting the programs and services of DSWD.
