The Davao City Special Needs Intervention Center for Children (DCSNICC) is urging parents of children with special needs in the city to visit the center.
“Pwede ra gyud sila muadto sa DCSNICC. Willing mi muabi-abi sa ilaha, maghatag og information kung unsa ang programs and services para ma-cater nato ang mga bata nga naa’y special needs (Parents of children with special needs may visit the DCSNICC. We are willing to accommodate them and provide information on our programs and services to cater to the needs of children with special needs),” Dr. Melody Pardillo, Center Overseer of DCSNICC, said during the ISpeak Media Forum.
The DCSNICC is located in the ALS Compound, Barangay 4-A, beside the People’s Park.
The five-storey facility offers free occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, audiology, Special Education, and social services for children aged zero to six years and 364 days old, who are bonafide residents of the city, and are from indigent families.
The center also offers free assessment and diagnosis of children with special needs.
Pardillo said the center has two developmental pediatricians who can cater to 11 clients per week.
Since its opening on March 21, more than 200 clients have already visited the center for interventions and queries on the documents necessary to avail the center’s programs and services. CIODCSNICC to parents of kids with special needs: Visit center for assistance, guidance
