The City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) announced that this year’s Mutya ng Dabaw winners will be receiving the biggest prize in the pageant’s history, following the P500,000 gift from the office of Representative Paolo Z. Duterte.

The CTOO, through Mutya ng Dabaw’s Facebook page, said Rep. Duterte will give an additional P200,000 to the Mutya ng Dabaw 2025 winner, bringing the cash prize to P450,000.

One hundred sacks of rice will be donated to the Mutya’s selected charity.

Rep. Duterte also donated P100,000 each for the Diwa ng Dabaw and Sinag ng Dabaw, while 25 sacks of rice will be donated to their selected barangay charity.

The Diwa ng Dabaw and Sinag ng Dabaw winners will receive P300,000 and P250,000, respectively.

Duterte also donated P50,000 to those who will be named Pag-asa ng Dabaw and Patubay ng Dabaw. They will be receiving P150,000 and P125,000, respectively, along with the 25 bags of rice to their selected charity.

The Mutya ng Dabaw held its first screening on February 5. There will be a special walk-in screening, where candidates are required to go without makeup, on Feb. 15.

Applicants must bring PSA Birth Certificate, Certificate of Residency, and three copies of 2×2 and full body shot photos attached to the application form.

After the initial screening, the top 50 applicants will be chosen for a callback on Feb. 17. During the callback, candidates must wear business casual attire and use minimal makeup.

The coronation night will be on March 15.
