The City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) has assured the safety of Dabawenyos and guests as the security cluster has all been set for the activities of the Pasko Fiesta 2024.
CTOO’s administrative officer Charlotte Parba, in an interview with the city-owned Davao City Disaster Radio, said a total of 35,386 personnel from various government and security units will be deployed to ensure the safety of this year’s Pasko Fiesta.
“We assure sa tanan nato’ng mga goers nga kampante sila that we are all secure and safe diri sa ato’ng syudad. And you know naman na Davao is always safe (We assure all our goers that we are all secure and safe here in our city. And you know that Davao is always safe),” she said.
The send-off ceremony was held on Tuesday, November 26, at the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) Parade Grounds. An average of 1,041 personnel, including members of Davao City Police Office (DCPO), Task Force Davao, City Transport and Management Office (CTTMO), Civil Security Unit (CSU), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and others, will be deployed per day.
Also, to be deployed are personnel from the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), Central 911, the City Health Office (CHO), City Economic Enterprise (CEE), Philippine National Police-Maritime Davao Station, and National Bureau of Investigation-Davao Region (NBI-Davao).
