The City Information Technology Center (CITC), under the Office of the City Administrator, is the frontline office in the adoption and application of information and communications technology (ICT), and ensures its utilization in strategic area of government concern thus supporting all departments and offices in their respective ICT thrusts and programs. CITC was created through a program which was institutionalized in the 1996 Agency’s Re-organization. The office was established to support the development effort and manage the implementation and maintenance of all the systems developed, including the repair and maintenance of all computers and network facilities of the City Government of Davao.
The services they provide are:
- Develop, maintain and enhance new and existing information and communications systems
- Coordinate with Users
- Network Administration
- Database Management
- Conduct ICT preventive and corrective maintenance services
- Install hardware, software and peripherals
- Conduct research and development on new trends and advancements in ICT
